Topsail Island, North Carolina

In July, Mark and I went to North Carolina with Chris and Joanne Hayball.  We stayed on Topsail Island, just across the street from the beach.  It was so beautiful there and SO RELAXING!  We laid out at the beach every morning and then did a little sight seeing in the afternoons.  It was such a nice break!

I thought this lake was so pretty with all the lilly pads and the greenery so I wanted to stop and take a picture.

Little did we know what was lurking in the waters there.....

Uh, yikes!  The thing was HUGE!  It was like 8 or 9 feet!

Joanne freaked and jumped up on the car!  It was a little intense, but way cool to see a croc so close!

What a hottie!

We did part of the walking tour in Willmington.  The houses there were amazing!!

Fishing off the peir at the back of the house we stayed in.

Just sit right back And you'll hear a tale A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this tropic port, Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man, The Skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day, For a three hour tour, A three hour tour.

Thats right, friends, it's the SS Minow!

Poplar Grove Plantation.  It was so pretty!

I know, I know, mock me all you want.  I should be mocked after going....

Puerto Rico

Mark and I went to Puerto Rico for a week with Dan and Monique. Dan is Mark's business partner. We had so much fun! We went to the El Yunque National Rain Forest, visited Fort San Felipe del Morro and The Castillo de San Cristobal in San Juan, snorkeled and explored the island. One night we kayaked out to Luminescent Bay where the water glows green because of the microscopic living organisms that glow whenever they are touched. That was cool! Went to the water park and ate yummy (and not so yummy) food. We didn't eat any where that we recognized. We all wanted to try the local food. Most of it was delicious!! Some, not so much. It was such a fun and relaxing trip. We had a great time!

There were so many amazing old buildings and churches.  I loved it!
We were in San Juan when I saw this guy kickin it at a bus stop...I couldn't resist.  There was a naughty picture spray painted on the wall behind but lucky for all of you, I took it out.

Our last night on the island.
